Works in Progress
I have several things in the works at the moment ranging from novels in the editing process, to short stories sitting in people's submission boxes to the odd piece I write for practice and may even start posting on this blog.
"The Place Between The Beats" or "Beats" for short, is a short story currently submitted to TreeLionPress for their Weird West anthology. Written in second person present and centered around a protagonist whose gender is left intentionally vague as they travel an empty wasteland. Last I heard I'd made it into their second read pile which is terribly exciting and I'm hoping to hear more soon.
The Chained: Bad Dog is a splatter-punk novel and the first of what I intend to make a series dealing with The Chained, a category of souls bound to different domains of death. The first draft is almost finished and from there it's a long, uphill fight with editing and submissions, but currently it's the most fun to write so it's getting most of my attention.
The Nibelung Trilogy is my urban-fantasy neo-noir trilogy featuring gumshoe duo Pafford and Sage as they deal with everything from magic rings to the vampire mafia. Book one, Nibelung is currently in the editing process while I write book two and finish the outline for book three and I'm hoping to submit it soon.
Idol-Chatter is an urban horror/fantasy (man I write a lot of urban-fantasy) focusing on budding wizards on a cross-country road trip and was a NaNo and is now being edited.
Finally there's my southern gothic,Larks Never Will, which was my NaNo in 2014 and needs to be edited before I submit it to anyone, though it needs less polish than I'd initially thought, so there's that.
So yes, lots of exciting things happening at and around my computer.
